Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: June 2009

Our focus this month has really been on the Three Penny Taproom. Like, to the exclusion of posting to this site. Their beer...it's just so good when it touches our lips, you know? And then when we're full of beer we lose the motivation to write. We just want more beer. It's a vicious cycle. But it includes beer. So that's OK with us.

Don't worry. We'll get back on track now that the hazy, lazy days of summer will make it too hot to trek all the way to the bar. We think so, anyway. While we're drying out, check out what we found for you during the lovely month of June!

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: May 2009

We know April showers are supposed to bring May flowers, but for our money some of the best things that came out of last month were a bottle of Kubler Absinthe and this picture from one of their promotions. Well done, Kubler. Well done.

Don't get us wrong, some other cool stuff happened (we like our Jim Beam Red Stag Review, for example) but for some reason we've got Kubler on the brain. Check out our other stories after the jump.

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: February 2009

We were all about the romance this month, featuring everything from an absinthe fountain in the female form, to (more or less) showing you how to saber the cork from a champagne bottle. We also printed our only recorded retraction, where due to reader demand we gave another go to Screech Rum...and liked it.

We also started the long day's journey into St. Patrick's night, getting our Irish on with Pint-Sized Ireland, the Dublin' Your Pleasure hoodie that features a spare beer pocket, and told you about an attempt to break the Guinness record for the world's largest pub crawl on St. Pat's in NYC. 'Twas a good month indeed.

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: January 09

Just in case you drank so much during the Super Bowl last night you forgot what year it was...it's 2009. And a glorious 2009 it's been so far. Economic crises. Job cuts. Horrible economy. It'd be enough to drive us to drink every day if we weren't already close enough to walk.

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: November '08

November was a big month this year, what with Thanksgiving and all. Oh yeah, and the fact Liquor Snob moved its offices from Massachusetts to Vermont in our never ending quest to be as cold as possible so we won't need ice for our drinks. Plus, we released our Holiday Gift Guide for this year, with all sorts of stuff we found throughout the course of '08, and we'll be updating it as we get closer to the holidays. Yes, we know it seems like a shameless plug, but hey, it's what allows us to continue to be shameless drunks.

We found all sorts of other good stuff last month too...check everything out after the jump, and we hope you did your best to make this Thanksgiving a Wild Turkey Day.

October was a good month for us. We started it off strong with Crystal Head Vodka, and finished it up with three dollar wines. Good month, right? Well, happy Halloween since we haven't said that yet, and stop eating all that candy...save your empty calories for booze. C'mon!

Don't look now, but another month has come and gone - complete with proposed bank bailouts and other craziness. LiquorSnob Monthly Roundup: August 2008

Well, we've made it through the dog days of summer in '08, and we have to say August was a good month. Not only did we get to drink beer out by the pool and check out all sorts of booze-related excellentness, we were also profiled at GearCrave.com, which stroked our massive egos.

Oh, and August was also the time of beach volleyball the Olympics in China, which we didn't cover at all but watched with as often as we could. Go America!

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: July 2008

We're sad to see July go, what with all the fun of Independence Day and whatnot. That must be why we're so tardy with posting our roundup of the month's shenanigans and horsefeathers and whatnot.

We got in some booze (Fee Parisienne Absinthe, Three Olives vodkas) and we swear the reviews are coming, and we also dug up what is quite possibly the greatest historical document ever created - drunk history. Check out everything from last month after the jump.

Also, for the record, this is the first time in a long time we've put up any unnecessary cheesecake in our images, and damn it feels good.

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: June 2008

Well, we're through June once again, and you know what that means...summer's finally here. That means we have a couple months of vacations, relaxing, and having a nice drink outside. Liquor Snob Roundup: April 2008

We had a lot happen in April, including a whirlwind trip to Brazil...where we didn't even drink any Cachaca. Long story. But nevertheless, we've scoured the Web to find the coolest drinking news and products going, and wrapped them up for you in a neat little package. You're welcome.

One thing we didn't get to do in April was a chance to review the cocktail candles that were sent to us by Gwen at Intoxicated Zodiac, or the Hot D Wake Up Juice that's sitting on our shelf. Our bad.
