Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: November 2010
Let's not try to kid ourselves and say November is about anything more than one thing - Thanksgiving. We spent the first three weeks of the month binging and purging to get our stomachs floppy enough to accommodate a passel of food and drink that could choke a pilgrim, and the last week of the month napping off the tryptophan. We have to say we were pretty proud of the Thanksgiving Survival Guide, and we hope it helped pull you negotiate the potential pitfalls of this family-oriented holiday.
Check out our other top stories from last month below, most of which seem to involve Four Loko.

Well, we suppose it's time to say goodbye to summer, and start thinking about where we're going to set up our permanent outdoor ice luge. While we do some measuring and pre-emptive drinking, why don't you go ahead and see what we did last month? (Here's a hint - it wasn't much, but expect a lot more from us this fall. No, seriously.)

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: June 2010
June is quickly coming to a close, and if there's one thing we learned a lot about, it's how to smuggle booze into places that want to charge you a lot for said booze. We discovered the Beer Bandolier (OK...that's less smuggling than in-your-face-bandito) and My Bootlegger, and we were featured on Music Festival Junkies (new window) for all the smuggly goodness we've covered over the years. We also found out about a cool Bacardi promotion to support the troops, and accidentally stumbled across salmon-flavored vodka.
Read everything after the jump.

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: January 2010
Welcome to 2010, dear readers, and we have to say - we started this year like we've started many others. Souls crushed and barely able to get out of bed, bleary-eyed and headachey, we limped into 2010 like we did pretty much other year in this decade. The only difference was we were feeling the effects of an evil monster cold that tore its way through the Liquor Snob offices. It was like we had hangovers without the benefit of getting drunk first...not recommended.
We hope you didn't have such an unauspicious start to the year, but whether you did or didn't, check out the stories we covered in January below.

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: December 2009
Happy New Year, Liquor Snob readers! We want to be among the first to welcome you to 2010 (the year we make contact, if you believe the movie's tagline), but before we get all starry-eyed about the beginning of a new decade we think it's time to look back a bit. December 2009 was a pretty good month - we played video games until our eyes and fingers bled, we sampled some holiday cheer with our friends, and Santa kicked some ass.
We took some time last month to get our things together and tie up some loose ends, and we plan to go into 2010 swinging. So let's buckle in, grab a cocktail shaker, and let loose into the new year (and the new decade). But before that, check out December's story after the jump.

Those of you who read the website with any regularity probably noticed that Liquor Snob refrained from any kind of Halloween shenanigans this year. We should probably come clean - we hate Halloween. Not covering it probably cost us some traffic, in terms of things like halloween cocktail searchers and whatnot, but guess what? We don't care.
As much as we like the integration of "slutty" into pretty much every costume, we don't want anything to do with a holiday that expects us to put on a costume that could interfere with our drinking or make us look like the guy pictured above (via Monster Land). So there.
That said, welcome to November, the home of Wild Turkey Day! Check out what we did end up writing about after the jump.

Liquor Snob Monthly Roundup: September 2009
Ah, September, the month of Labor Day and the summer's death rattle. September started off rocky, but only got better, as we started our BarSmarts Wired course, tasted a whole mess of whisky with Johnnie Walker, and unleashed our rocket launchers on comic-themed cocktails.
The more we keep drinking, the more things are looking up!

Monthly Roundup: July & August 2009
It's been a rough summer for us here at Liquor Snob, but in the words of the great Lebowski, we will abide. In all the hubbub, we realized we never rounded up July, so you're in luck - we'll drop 'em both on you today.
So as you try to abide the change from summer to autumn (it's getting cold here in VT, anyway) you can warm yourself up with some of our hot little stories.

Our focus this month has really been on the Three Penny Taproom. Like, to the exclusion of posting to this site. Their beer...it's just so good when it touches our lips, you know? And then when we're full of beer we lose the motivation to write. We just want more beer. It's a vicious cycle. But it includes beer. So that's OK with us.
Don't worry. We'll get back on track now that the hazy, lazy days of summer will make it too hot to trek all the way to the bar. We think so, anyway. While we're drying out, check out what we found for you during the lovely month of June!
