Halloween Cocktail Recipe BLOWOUT

So we decided this morning we need to come clean about the fact we're sort of Halloween Humbugs. We usually try to fake the funk, like we actually ENJOY putting on costumes and acting like idiots. We don't. But that doesn't stop us from mixing up the occasional festive holiday drink in honor of the ghouls and goblins on the prowl.

Check out some great Halloween-themed drink recipes we received from Herradura, TheBar.com, and Three Olives, as well as what we've scrounged from the Web, and if you've got recipes of your own fire 'em on over.

Herradura Tequila Calabatini

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Herradura Reposado
½ oz Monin Pumpkin Spice Syrup
3 oz half-and-half

Instructions:
Add ice to shaker and the ingredients in the order listed above
Shake well and strain into martini glass
Garnish with cinnamon

If, like us, you have no idea what Monin Pumpkin Spice Syrup is, you can read about and purchase it here. Also, Herradura is one of our all-time favorite tequilas, so we have a vested interest in trying this one out.

Gin Spirit and Ghost

Gin Spirit

Ingredients
1.25 oz. Tanqueray London Dry Gin
1.5 oz. pomegranate juice
1 splash orange juice
1 tsp sugar

Instructions
Add Tanqueray London Dry Gin, pomegranate juice, orange juice, and sugar
Shake with ice and strain into martini glass

Ghost

Ingredients
1.25 oz. Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka
.25 oz. Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
.25 oz. half-and-half
.25 oz. simple syrup
.25 oz. shavings of white chocolate

Instructions
Fill shaker with ice
Add Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, half-and-half, and simple syrup
Shake
Strain into chilled martini glass rimmed with white chocolate
Garnish with white chocolate shavings

Our Notes
One thing we can say is these cocktail don't include any ingredients we've never heard of, though we think we'd be more inclined to ~~chug~~ sip the gin spirit than the ghost.

Tootsie Roll, Gummy Worm, and Jolly Rancher Cocktails

Jolly Rancher

Ingredients
1 oz. Three Olives Green Apple Vodka
1 oz. peach schnapps
4 oz. cranberry juice

Instructions
Pour vodka and schnapps into a cocktail glass filled with ice and top with cranberry juice. Garnish with an orange wedge.

Gummy Worm Martini

Ingredients
1 ½ oz. Three Olives Mango Vodka
1 ½ oz. Three Olives Raspberry Vodka
½ oz. Blue Curacao
1 oz. lemon-lime soda

Instructions
Shake over ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cherry.

Tootsie Roll

Ingredients
2/3 oz. Three Olives Chocolate Vodka
1/3 oz. Amaretto
Chocolate Syrup

Instructions
Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a shot glass.

Our Notes
We usually stay away from the sweeter cocktails, but man...whatever it is we think we see becomes a Tootsie Roll cocktail to...us.
