Canton Ginger Liqueur Review
When we first heard about Canton Ginger Liqueur, we had a pretty good idea we were going to like it. After all, we love ginger like it's our job, and marrying it with cognac can go under our "why didn't we think of this?" file. What we didn't expect, however, was that we'd fall in love.

Our thoughts: From the first whiff we had of Canton, we knew we were in trouble. The gingery nose was delicate and had everything we're looking for from ginger, with a light twinge of the vanilla and honey that sweeten it. Our first taste kept up the balance, with only a hint of the burn you might expect from ginger, tempered with a sweetness that just made us want to sip again. We loved Canton on the rocks, and we liked the cocktails we made with it as well - especially La Coloniale (2 parts Canton, 3 parts Hendricks). In fact, we kept thinking of reasons to drink it or take it into our bodies otherwise (we're thinking it'd be great on vanilla ice cream).
The Verdict: Canton is officially on our list of favorites now. That's it. We loved it from sip one, and everyone we offered it to clamored for more. It's worth every penny of the thirty bucks you'll pay to get a bottle, and if you find it, buy it on sight. If you could, pick up an extra bottle for us too.

Actually, I find it WAY better than the one from China -- slightly higher proof, I believe, far more structured and complex, can actually have it by itself or in cocktails. I get mine from BevMo.com, but I don't know if they deliver to all states...
