Appleton Estate Reserve Rum

Appleton Reserve RumWe're kind of behind the curve on this one since it was released a couple weeks ago, but we found out there's a new Appleton Reserve rum that's been released. We really liked the Appleton V/X we had a while back, and we're looking forward to getting our hands on the reserve.

Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum announced the launch of Appleton Estate Reserve Jamaica Rum in the U.S. Appleton Estate Reserve is a blend of 20 marks of rums hand selected by the industry’s first female master blender, Joy Spence, from the world famous Appleton Estate in Jamaica.

“Appleton Estate Reserve is a great addition to the Appleton Estate range of rums available in the United States,” said Joe Murray, National Brand Manager, Appleton Estate Jamaica Rums. “It has received international acclaim and been celebrated throughout the world, so now it’s time for American consumers to taste this wonderfully handcrafted rum.”

“With the resurgence of the classic cocktail, Appleton Estate Reserve offers you the chance to upgrade your classic rum cocktails, like the Mai Tai and Hemingway Daiquiri,” said Murray. “The quality is unmatched.”

Within the U.S., driven by the Appleton Estate range, Appleton Jamaica Rums continue to be one of the hottest brands in the rum category receiving its second consecutive Adams Growth Brand Award. This award is given by the Adams Beverage Group to brands that reach a minimum of 100,000 cases and enjoy double-digit percent growth during each of the last four years within the U.S.

Appleton Estate Reserve Jamaica Rum Tasting Notes from Master Blender Joy Spence
“Deep amber color with golden reflections. Its delightfully complex bouquet reveals brown sugar, apricot and orange peel notes with a hint of vanilla. It has a refined, rich and complex flavor with loads of nutty and woody elements that is layered and complex. A sip reveals lots of nutty, woody elements and a soft, creamy, flavorful and mellow finish. This rum is smooth, silky and mellow and ideally balanced. This is a connoisseur’s rum.”
