Draft Beer at Home with PerfectDraft...Almost
Ever wished you had access to perfectly poured draft beer in the comfort of your own home? Hoping and dreaming for all that without the usual $500-$600 expense of your typical kegerator
? We have the same dream, and we finally found it.
What is this miracle product, you ask? It's called PerfectDraft, and it's heaven sent...to Europe. That's right, the PerfectDraft, which is made by Philips, is currently only available in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands or Germany. Definitely one to think about starting a letter-writing campaign for, or at least putting on your Christmas wish list. Learn more about it at PerfectDraft (hint: if you want to read it in English, go to the Belgian site).
We learned about the PerfectDraft thanks to a story over at I4U News...thanks for getting our hopes up, guys. Below you'll find some info on the PerfectDraft from their site:
"The features of the Philips PerfectDraft (HD 3600/20) sound very promising. The beer is cooled down to 3 degree Celsius by the system. The greatest thing is that the beer that is supplied via 6l kegs is staying fresh for four weeks. The in-home draught-beer dispensing appliance takes special 6l kegs."
If you're too lazy to do a metric conversion, 3 degrees Celsius is about 37 degrees Fahrenheit, and 6 liters is just under 13 pints (a hair shy of 17 beers if you're a 12 ounce kind of guy).
